THR Orthopedic Grand Rounds - Contemporary Evidence-Based Guidelines for Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis: The Path from Early Diagnosis to Advanced Care

Target Audience

This interprofessional activity is designed for physician assistants and nurses.  We also invite all members of the orthopedic healthcare team to take this course.  The goal of this activity is to provide a more standardized, comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to orthopedic education. This includes enhancing the knowledge base of orthopedic professionals, improving clinical skills and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Review how the interprofessional healthcare team can incorporate nonoperative management strategies for early and mild hip and knee osteoarthritis, including pharmacological and lifestyle interventions
  • Identify the key clinical indices that are known to optimize surgical outcomes for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement
  • Address patient inquiries about how surgical technique, robotic technology utilization and institutional standards may affect clinical outcomes
