Describe the mechanisms and pathophysiology of traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI).

Recognize the importance of an accurate neurological exam in traumatic spinal cord injury.

Identify the major aspects of acute SCI care.

Identify who needs cervical spinal immobilization in the trauma patient.
