Target Audience
This online educational enduring material is designed for Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) physicians. We also invite THPG physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses to take this course. - Discuss THPG’s approach to claims management
- Describe common litigation issues and themes in the medical malpractice setting
Safe and Effective Controlled Substance Prescribing
- Discuss the best practices, alternative treatment options and multi-modal approaches to pain management
- Describe safe and effective pain management related to the prescription of opioids and other controlled substances including standard of care, identification of drug-seeking behavior
- Explain how to effectively communicate with patients regarding risks and benefits of controlled substances
