Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- State the most common dermatological conditions that bring patients to the emergency department.
- Discuss treatment for the various dermatological conditions.
- Describe the pathophysiology and clinical progression of Stevens–Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN)
- Collaboratively analyze clinical case studies of dermatological emergencies to identify high‑risk features, underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms, disease severity, and urgent management priorities
