Care of the Patient with Concerns for Intimate Partner Violence

Target Audience
This activity equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively address intimate partner violence (IPV). Learners will explore the prevalence and impact of IPV, gain proficiency in administering and interpreting a danger assessment, understand the procedures involved in a medical forensic examination, and develop individualized safety plans tailored to the needs of patients experiencing IPV.

- Describe the prevalence of intimate partner violence
- Administer and score a danger assessment
- Discuss the process of the medical forensic exam
- Build an individualized safety plan for the patient experiencing intimate partner violence
