THAMH Trauma Grand Rounds - Moderate Head Injury

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed all physicians and clinical staff involved in the care of trauma patients. Its purpose is to address the need that there are rapidly changing technologies, procedures, and pharmacology agents in dealing with trauma.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Define and discuss moderate head trauma with associated GCS ranges
  • Discuss mechanism of injury associated with moderate head trauma
  • Examine latest guidelines for the treatment and management of moderate traumatic brain injury
  • Improve multidisciplinary care team approach in prevention of secondary brain injury by creating collaboration between neurosurgical experts and trauma teams
  • Determine the impact of moderate head trauma within our society
