THAMH Trauma Grand Rounds - Acute Cervical Spinal Cord Injury

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for all physicians and nurses involved in the care of trauma patients.  We also invite clinical staff to take this course.  Its purpose is to address the fact that there are rapidly changing technologies, procedures and pharmacology agents in dealing with trauma care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate cervical spinal cord injuries based on types of lesions and degree of functional loss
  • Formulate a plan of care, which includes currently recommended evidence-based interventions for the patient who has sustained an acute cervical spinal cord injury
