This series is designed to equip IP practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to use quality and performance improvement data to improve infection prevention and control. Each of the monthly IP conferences has relevancy to at least one of the eight Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc (CBIC) domains: identification of infectious disease processes (1), surveillance and epidemiologic investigation (2), prevention and control of the transmission of infectious agents (3), employee or occupational health (4), management and communication (5), education and research (6), environment of care (7), and cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, and asepsis (8).
By the end of each session the learner will be able to:
- Monitor outcomes of THR’s infection prevention program.
- Collaborate with THR’s Quality and Performance Improvement committee to implement interventions addressing issues identified through process improvement monitoring activities.
- Define a cross-sectional multidisciplinary initiative for prevention and control of infections associated with healthcare.
