Target Audience
This online educational enduring material is designed for OB/GYN physicians. We also invite nurses to take this course. Its purpose is for physicians to become more knowledgeable about the obstetrical/gynecological diseases and conditions and more efficient in the evaluation and management of concerns unique to their patients.

- Discuss the anatomy of the abdominal wall and the physiology of pain from abdominal surgery
- Review the history of nerve blockade for abdominal surgery and how efficacy has improved
- Discuss newer anesthetic nerve block techniques and when they are effective
