Target Audience

This online educational enduring material is designed for physicians.  We also invite clinical staff to take the course. Its purpose is to provide for the continuous educational need of the physicians to become more knowledgeable about the diseases in internal medicine subspecialties and become more efficient in the evaluation and management of concerns unique to their patients. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize obesity as a chronic medical condition and how treating obesity improves associated medical conditions
  • Discuss how incretin therapies treat obesity and related cardiometabolic diseases
  • Identify patients with advanced obesity and cardiometabolic diseases to refer to an obesity specialist and/or bariatric surgery
