Target Audience
This online educational enduring material is designed for physicians and clinical staff. Its purpose is to provide for the continuous educational need of the physicians to become more knowledgeable about the diseases in internal medicine subspecialties and become more efficient in the evaluation and management of concerns unique to their patients.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Describe Aspergillus endocarditis; how it presents, the treatment and diagnosis.
- Discuss how early detection of mucocutaneous findings in patients with AL amyloidosis, especially in patients of color for whom textbook and classic images are uncommonly documented, might allow for rapid treatment, prevent cardiac manifestations and result in an overall better prognosis.
- Discuss how moyamoya disease can lead to ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke in young adults and the association of moyamoya disease and hyperthyroidism
