THAMH Trauma Grand Rounds - Traumatic Brain Injury

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for all physicians and nurses involved in the care of trauma patients.  We also invite clinical staff to take this course.  Its purpose is to address the fact that there are rapidly changing technologies, procedures and pharmacology agents in dealing with trauma care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the mechanism of injury and pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury
  • Examine the latest guidelines for treatment of a patient with traumatic brain injury
  • Discuss the multidisciplinary team approach to management of a patient with traumatic brain injury
