THAM Trauma Grand Rounds - IR in Trauma: A Case-Based Approach to an ill-defined Disciple
Target Audience
This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for all physicians and nurses involved in the care of trauma patients. We also invite clinical staff to take this course. Its purpose is to address the fact that there are rapidly changing technologies, procedures and pharmacology agents in dealing with trauma care.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the 2019 Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) position statement on trauma
- Review IR management of blunt-trauma-associated internal hemorrhage by organ system and anatomic compartments
- Outline the interprofessional management of bleeding in difficult vascular beds with emphasis on the importance of CT/CTA
