Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, recreational therapists, mental health technicians, clergy, administrators and other interested persons. Its purpose is to address the need for behavioral health and psychiatric issues/treatments.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Explain and discuss sex trafficking, CSEC, and sexual exploitation
  • Discuss the ethical responsibility of the interprofessional team to recognize red flags and warning signs in patients in order to provide appropriate referrals for treatment and services
  • Identify a variety of referral sources for the medical staff to utilize when identifying potential victims
  • Discuss the interdisciplinary approach to treatment, including collaboration between roles
