Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the necessity of the inter-professional team approach when treating PTSD symptoms in the eating disorder patient population
- Explain the basic tenets of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and how it can be adapted to traumatized ED patients
- Recognize three key psychoeducation teaching points to help patients understand the link between their eating disorder and trauma reactions
- Identify new results indicating that both PTSD symptoms and ED symptoms may be successfully treated together in a residential treatment program
