This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for physicians and clinical staff. Its purpose is to address behavioral health and psychiatric issues/treatments.
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Explain key characteristics of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) behaviors that are associated with increased risk for suicide attempt
- Recall at least three important questions to ask adolescents who engage in NSSI
- Discuss how to effectively and appropriately communicate about NSSI with treatment team members and colleagues
