THD NICU Grand Rounds - Breast Milk and Breastfeeding in the NICU/Special Care Nursing

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for physicians and nurses in neonatology, pediatrics and obstetrics.  We also invite respiratory therapists to take this course.  Its purpose is to address the need to provide the latest recommendations of neonatal care and identify best practices for neonatal intensive care.

Learning Objectives

  • Review the benefits of breastmilk/breastfeeding for premature infants
  • Discuss the time sensitive interventions that help to establish milk supply
