THFW Fracture Conference - Role of Arthroplasty in the Management of Acute Fractures of Lower Extremities

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for THFW orthopedic surgeons and nurses who manage patients with open/closed fractures.  We also invite clinical staff to take this course.  Its purpose is to address he need to have an established, systematic, evidence-based approach to caring for orthopedic trauma related episodes of care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the role for arthroplasty in the face of acute trauma
  • Review role for combined arthroplasty and fixation of fractures
  • Discuss timing for surgical intervention
