The Dr. Robert S. and Joyce Pate Capper Heart Symposium - GDMT for HRrEF: Are We There Yet

Target Audience

This online interprofessional enduring material is designed for physicians and nurses in the following specialties: cardiovascular, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine, geriatric, hospitalist, internal medicine, primary care and vascular surgery.  We also invite physician assistants and other allied health professionals to take this course.  Its purpose is to address the need for knowledge and competence in regard to the latest cardiovascular treatment recommendations and considerations.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the role of guideline directed medical therapy (GDMT) for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF)
  • Review the data on implementation trials for GDMT
  • Explain the benefits of rapid and complete GDMT titration
  • Discuss practical tips to help the interprofessional team confidently care for and manage HFrEF patients using GDMT in clinical practice
