Learning Objectives

- Increase awareness among healthcare professionals regarding both prevalence and risk factors associated with suicide within healthcare professions, including the unique stressors and challenges faced by healthcare workers
- Identify and discuss protective factors and strategies that can mitigate the risk of suicide among healthcare workers, including fostering supportive work environments, promoting self-care practices, and overcoming stigma-related barriers to seeking treatment
- Equip healthcare professionals with information regarding available resources while encouraging the continued promotion of mental health awareness in the workplace
