Target Audience

This online educational enduring material is designed for OB/GYN physicians.  We also invite nurses to take this course.  Its purpose is for physicians to become more knowledgeable about the obstetrical/gynecological diseases and conditions and more efficient in the evaluation and management of concerns unique to their patients.  

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize overall benefits and limitations of cell free fetal DNA screening for use during pregnancy
  • Differentiate between the two main technologies used for cell free fetal DNA screening for aneuploidy (quantitative and SNP-based) and understand strengths and limitations of each
  • Identify three different testing options for cell free fetal DNA screening for specific genes, and describe indications for use of each one
