Target Audience
This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for physicians and nurses in neonatology, pediatrics and obstetrics. We also invited respiratory therapists to take this course. Its purpose is to address the need to provide the latest recommendations of neonatal care and identify best practices for neonatal intensive care.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Discuss indications for surgery in cases of necrotizing enterocolitis
- Review the surgical options for infants with necrotizing enterocolitis
- Review the short- and long-term outcomes for infants requiring surgery for necrotizing enterocolitis
