THD NICU Grand Rounds - Family Wellness in the NICU
Target Audience
This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for physicians and nurses in neonatology, pediatrics and obstetrics. We also invited respiratory therapists to take this course. Its purpose is to address the need to provide the latest recommendations of neonatal care and identify best practices for neonatal intensive care.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the clinical and ethical rationale for family mental health screening and intervention in the NICU
- Discover how to meet attachment needs for baby and parents while in the NICU
- Identify how to build a comprehensive care team in the NICU (with in-house and/or adjunct services and resources)
