15th Annual Critical Care Conference - Clinical Care Nutrition Support Focusing on Special Populations
Target Audience
This online interprofessional enduring material is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists and dieticians involved in the care of critical care patients. We also invite physician assistants and other healthcare professionals to take this course. Its purpose is to improve patient outcomes in the ICU and educate the healthcare team on new and recent evidence-based findings in critical care.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Discuss key points in the published nutrition support guidelines from the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition
- Formulate nutrition support goals within special critically ill patient populations
- Describe a multidisciplinary healthcare team approach for a nutrition support treatment plan in a critically ill patient at risk of refeeding
