Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed for physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists in neonatology, pediatrics and obstetrics. Its purpose is to address the need to provide the latest recommendations of neonatal care and identify best practices for neonatal intensive care.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Describe epidemiology and pathophysiology of COVID-19 in pregnancy – what we know now in the 3rd year of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic
  • Discuss collaborative management of severe or critical COVID-19 in pregnancy with specific review of cases involving adult and neonatal medical and surgical subspecialties as well as nursing and family support services
  • Review COVID-19 vaccination and boosters in pregnancy and discuss how new technology in vaccine development can benefit pregnant women and neonates
