THAMH Trauma Grand Rounds - All Hands on Deck: OB Trauma

Target Audience

This online interprofessional educational enduring material is designed all physicians and clinical staff involved in the care of trauma patients. Its purpose is to address the need that there are rapidly changing technologies, procedures, and pharmacology agents in dealing with trauma.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this online enduring material, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the start triage system
  • Describe the treatment for an obstetrical emergent c section patient
  • Discuss symptoms and treatment for a placental abruption
  • Evaluate an obstetrical trauma case utilizing the performance improvement patient safety process
  • Discuss procedures that can be adopted in a trauma program for coding an obstetrical patient
  • Identify the importance of different health care workers and how they impact patient care
